In times before the written word, stories of heroes and heroines, gods and demons, triumph and tragedy were passed on verbally from father to son, mother to daughter, friend to friend. These tales would grow and change with each telling. They would become emblazoned for all time with the passion of each new teller. But, one by one, each of these stories was stalked and slain by the pen of some unwitting assassin who was trying to preserve their beauty. Forever emprisoned upon the page and doomed to a life of unchanging monotony, these tales of woe and wonder ceased to be alive.

Any words I write here to try and capture my spirit and my beliefs would only succeed in misleading. I am today who I was not yesterday and will never be again.
